Bike-Centre Kitzbüheler Alps

The 19 charming Tyrolean villages around the legendary sports town Kitzbühel are a hit all year round. During the summer months 800 km of mountainbike trails make up the fantastic bike centre of the Alps! Every year, and all around the famous Kitzbüheler Horn mountain and its soft green hills there are numerous international bike highlights taking place:

Bike around the Wilder Kaiser mountain right through the vast Brixen valley, go on until St. Johann in Tirol and the holiday region Hohe Salve.

The breath-taking valleys within the Brixental...

One of the unique features within the Brixen valley are the natural valleys, which can be easily explored during relaxing bike tours on normal bicycles. Right along the mountain streams you can follow the trails which lead up to the top of the valley (approx. 15 - 20 km), from where a steep route leads up the mountain. At the top of the valley you have to possibility to stop at an alpine hut for a break. These tours are perfect for families with children, since the streams at the back of the valley offer numerous adventure and exploration possibilities.

Bike trails right up to the city of Salzburg...

The bike trail net is almost unlimited. You can bike right along until you reach the city of Salzburg! One of these beautiful tours leads us from Brixen im Thale via Kirchberg to Kitzbühel, along the Römerweg further along until you reach St. Johann. From there you can chose to take either the trail via the Hohe Salve mountain, Going, Ellmau, Scheffau, Itter and via Hopfgarten get back into the Brixen valley, or you bike along until you reach the idyllic Pillersee lake or Salzburg. If you prefer to go up the mountain really quick and enjoy a thilling downhill, you can make use of the cable car offer up to the mountain summit. Most of the mountain railways within the region offer this service for bikers!
